Annie Lederman Albany Concert reviews
Very good performance, just nothing memorable
Overall, Amy Lee and Lyndsey delivered very good performances, but Amy's piercing voice made her lyrics unintelligible. The band, Annie Lederman, sat awkwardly on chairs and blended in with the symphony. Lyndsey's electrifying performance was overshadowed by melodies that all began to sound the same over time. Amy's songs suffered from this even more. The music was good but not memorable for a live performance. Audiences expect to hear the big hits as originally recorded, and "Bring me to life" failed without the male accompanying voice. The personal reflections shared by each artist created an engaging connection that few performers can deliver. Watching this on a big screen TV would have been just as enjoyable and cost less money.
